The Zambezi River trip takes you through Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe over twelve days. Amongst others the tour will incorporate the following:
A Game drive through the beautiful Chobe reserve
Night drive crocodile viewing
Bird watching
Hiking trail
Victoria Falls
Elephant back safari
Tiger, bream and other fishing on the upper Zambezi River
Overland Trip
Day 1 Arrive at Johannesburg and overnight in local hotel, or bed & breakfast establishment. Once we have settled in, we'll do introductions followed by dinner and a briefing (cocktails).
Day 2
Early morning departure from Johannesburg for Nata (Botswana). E.T.A. Nata is 18h00 - Lunch en route.
Overnight stay in tented lodge preceded by a scrumptious traditional dinner.
Day 3
Departure for Kasne at 08h00 after a hearty English breakfast.
Afternoon game drive (12h00 - 15h00) through Chobe reserve, in open game vehicles. Lunch in game park.
Depart Kasne 15h30 - ETA Kaliso 18h00
Check-In and relax. Dinner at 19h00
Day 4
Fishing, birding, trails, quad biking
Day 5
Fishing -bank or boat, fly, lure or course
Day 6
Fishing - overnight in a 'Bush Camp' on the banks of the river as optional extra.
Day 7
Fishing - Full day of boating on the river if you wish. Cover up to 20 miles of the mighty Zambezi river.
Day 8
Depart for Victoria Falls at 10h00 - ETA 14h00
View Victoria Falls, evening in Victoria Falls town. Chalet accommodation. Traditional dancing and overnight in the town of Victoria Falls.
Day 9
Option of: White Water Rafting or 1/2 day Elephant back safari. Over night at Victoria falls in chalet accommodation. "Night on the town"
Day 10
Depart Victoria Falls, for Nata, at 08h00. E.T.A. Nata 16h00.
Overnight at Nata Bush camp.
Day 11
Depart Nata for Johannesburg at 08h00. E.T.A. Johannesburg 18h00.
Overnight at Days Inn, Constantia Kloof or at a bed & breakfast establishment
Day 12
Continental breakfast and check-out by 10h00. |
