Magnesium hydrate flame retardant

Magnsium hydrate is generally considered as an excellent flame retardant in the field of
rubber-palstic industry for its triple functions-flame retarding, smoke-restaining, stuffing.
Its molecular formula is Mg(OH)2 and the molecular weight is 58.32.
It is a kind of nontoxic, odorless, high stability, non volatile, smoke-restaining,
high decomposition temperature product, which doesnt corrode equipments.
It is the first selection for organic macromolecule polymer to realize its non halogenating flame

retarding.

Magnsium hydrate flame retardants, by releasing hydrate water and absorbing a large amount of
latent heat, reduce the surface tempreture of the synthetic materials stuffed in the flame,
restrain polymer from decomposing, and have cooling fuction to flammable gas. It can help to
improve flame-resistant of the synthetic materials and its emitted vapor can be used as
a kind of restraining smoke agent.

We produce magnesium hydrate by two methods, one is by mineral, its Mg(OH)2 content is

95% min., and the other is by Chemosynthesis, Mg(OH)2 content is 97%min or 98%min.
