b) Very soluble in water, extremely soluble in ethanol and solutions are blue-green
c) Becomes yellow in high concentration sulphuric acid
d) Becomes dark orange when diluted
e) Becomes orange in high concentration nitric acid
f) Becomes brownish orange when diluted
5) Application:
a) Used for dyeing silk, wool, cotton, paper, bamboo, weed, straw, leather, linen
and some chemical fibers
b) Also used in making color lake, solvent dyes and positive ion dyes
