Introduction of polyketone resin

Polyketone resin (also called aldehyde ketone resin) is neutral, nontoxic hard resin coming from the polycondensate of aldehyde ketone. It is colorless of light yellow transparent granule or white powder with good solubility. As a multifunctional modified resin, it is soluble in all common solvents except for aliphatic hydrocarbon for coating industry.

Due to its molecular structure, polyketone resin has special quality and characters. The saturated cyclic structure formed during the polycondensation of resin leads to high luster, hardness, anti-degradation and weather- endurance. Such resin is good in water resistance because of the lack of ester bonds and in heat stability due to the cyclohexyl in principal bonds. In addition, the polarity of ketone groups and hydroxyl groups contributes to its extensive mutual solubility, good dye wettability and adhesion. So it is compatible with compounds of extreme great and extreme weak polarity. As the ideal raw material of the majority of printing ink, dye and adhesives systems, it is suitable to improve their rapid-drying property, luster, adhesion, leveling, dye wettability, weather endurance and solid contents.
