Physical and chemical properties:It is a light-yellow or yellowish brown transparent and volatile liquid with a slight aromatic odour,b.p.74(1mmHg),d420 1.42.The solubility in water is 1%, it is soluble in most organic solvents; easily hydrolyzes in alkaline solutions;corrosive to iron or soft steel.
Toxicity:Acute oral LD50 to rats is 56-108 mg/kg,acute dermal LD50 to rats is 75-210 mg/kg.
