Jinyu waterproof membrane of elastomer (SBS) modified asphalt is a kind of windable sheet waterproof material, which adopts styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) modified asphalt as a dipping and covering modifier, whose upper surface is coated by PE film, fine sand, mineral granules or aluminum foil, copper foils or other isolating materials.
It abides by standard-GB18242-2000 "Waterproof Membrane of Elastomer (SBS) Modified Asphalt".
Types, Grades and Specifications
Type
·According to physical properties, it is classified into Type and Type II;
·According to substrates, it is classified into polyester fiber(PY) and glass fiber (G) ;
·According to materials coated on the upper surface, it is classified into PE film (PE), fine sand (S), and mineral material (M);
Specifications
·According to different substrates and different upper materials, it is classified into 6 grades, please see Table 1 for reference.

It could form waterproof layer, which has high strength and good property to stand against water pressure
High tensile strength and elongation rate, strong adaptability for substrate shrinking distortion and cracks
Good high and low temperature resistance, could keep its functions at -50 and be used in cold or hot areas, especially in cold areas;
Resistance to puncture, pressing and rubbing, tearing, and wearing
Good resistance to corrosion, mildew and weathering
Good construction performance, with firm and enduring joints.
Application Range
It could be widely used in all kinds of waterproof engineering projects in all fields, especially in the following types of engineering projects:
·All kinds of building roofs engineering projects, exposed, non-exposed, heat preservation, non-heat preservation, planting building roofs and roof parking lots;
·All kinds of underground waterproof or dampproof engineering projects;
·Bridge surfaces of subways, tunnels, concrete roads, sewage treatment and garbage burying projects
·water spraying pools, swimming pools, penstocks, water pools, and so on.
Construction Points
Construction methodshot melt, cold and hot adhering methods could be adopted to adhere sheets and substrates, or different sheets. While constructed with hot melt method, the thickness of membrane must be over 3mm; if constructed with cold adhering method, the thickness of cold adhesive must be 0.5~1mm.
Matching materialsmainly includes Yuhong brand BPS-201 substrate curing agent, BAC-211 rubber-asphalt adhesive (cold adhering method), BCW-251 rubber-asphalt coating,BSR-242 asphalt membrane sealant, metal battens and bolts.
Substrate preparationwaterproofing substrates shall be flat, solid, and be dried sufficiently. Detail structures shall meet requirements of related stipulations and designs.
Waterproofing layerthere are two kinds of structures of laminated and single layers, for laminated layers, thickness of each layer shall be not lower than 3mm, with complete adhesion between each other; for single layer, thickness of the single layer shall not be lower than 4mm.
·Overlappingoverlapping between sheets shall be completely adhered, with 80-100mm width of jointed area.
·Vertical surface endsfasten with metal battens and bolts, coat special sealant in all edges.
Protection isolation layer constructionprotection isolation layer shall be set on the exterior surface of waterproof layers according to related stipulations and designs, if use shale sheets or mineral grain coating surfaces as exposed waterproof layers, additional protective layer could be omitted; isolation layers shall be set between waterproof layers and rigid protective layers.
Attentions for Construction
·Construction shall not be carried out in rain, snow or over 5 degree wind weather;
·There shall be sufficient safety protective facilities in construction site, place firefighting devices according to stipulations.
