In this study the rabbit corpus cavernosa tissues were treated with Eurycoma Longifolia to evaluate the cGMP and cAMP level. Results of this study show the increase of both the levels of cGMP and cAMP, which validates the physiological observations of the aphrodisiac properties of whereby Eurycoma Longifolia is found to increase and enhance the levels of cGMP and cAMP in the rabbit corpus cavernosa tissue, even in the absence of sexual stimuli. The increase indicates smooth muscle relaxation and this can be extrapolated to a penile erection in a in vivo.
