Trocas shell

Trocas is the largest and the heaviest of the top shells. It is almost an equilateral triangle in profile with greenish side area (Japanese called YOKO) and reddish floor area (Japanese called Ten). It is a very important material for manufacturing shell button. Due to its thick, flat and iridescent nature, together with its steady supply and low cost vis-a-vis the mother-of-pearl shell, it becomes popular to use trocas in the garment industry.
