Cotton seed meal is a high protein by- product from the extraction of oil from cottonseeds. It is the second most valuable product of oilseeds, and account for over one-third of the total production.

The amount of oil left in Cottonseed cake after the extraction process affects the energy value of the meal. It is a high protein product and is quite palatable.

Cottonseed meal is sufficient as a sole source of protein for mature ruminants such as -beef, cattle and sheep. It can provide a major portion of the protein for dairy cows.

Meal is a natural protein source whilst its nitrogen is effectively utilized and there is little danger of excess ammonia being produced in the rumen as occurs when synthetic protein materials is feed.

High quality Cottonseed meal , used correctly as an ingredient of properly formulated rations, will improve economy and efficiency of ration.
