Aluminum alloy windows have many qualities similar to steel windows, however, you do not have to paint them and they will not get rusty. Unlike vinyl windows, aluminum windows are available with a number of anodized or baked-on finishes and also a multitude of colors. During 1960s, aluminum was the main window frame material. It combines strength and lightness, a good product for both the homeowner and the installer.
Aluminum resists warping, rotting and twisting and is a material that requires low maintenance. Compared with thermal-break aluminum windows, the price of aluminum windows is extremely competitive. However, it does not have thermal-break part and only has one piece of extrusion aluminum. Therefore, the problem with aluminum windows is that it is not very energy-efficient.
