The origin of the Brand name:

 

Aluminum Group chairs were originally developed in 1958 as a special project by Charles and Ray Eames for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard. The seat-back suspension was a major technical achievement and represented a departure from the concept of the chair as a solid shell.

The usage of this item:

 

(1) The collection offers the opportunity to choose from high specification executive seating to the more modest visitors' chairs.
All models are available with a variety of functions, giving the user a full choice of seating capabilities.

 

(2) All 5-star base chairs in the range can be fitted with either a fixed or tilting back action.
All models are available with polished, aluminium, or chromed metalwork.
The tilt action provides the user with an automatically adjustable sitting position whilst giving optimum support as it imitates the users movements. With the chair in its full forward position, the seat pan tilts in order to reduce the pressure on the discs in the lumbar region.
All bases can be fitted with either casters or glides. Matching visitors chairs are available on a 4-star base with glides.
