EPDM Special Curing Agent CD-2

1.        Ingredient: dimethyl (aminodithio) zinc acrylate complex

2.        Features and function: CD-2 series quick-curing agent special for EPDM rubber. Due to the extremely quick curing cross-linkage speed, it is specially recommended for the EPDM rubber to be subjected to microwave and hot-air continuous extrusion curing, especially the low-hardness complex cross-section structures, thin-wall hoses and other irregular sectional materials. It can improve effectively the anti-collapse ability and external dimension integrity of the low-Mooney-viscosity semi-finished products during the extrusion curing process. In addition, CD-2 is also an ideal curing agent for molding and injection molding EPDM rubber, characterized by fine fluidity of rubber in the molding chamber, little contamination to the mold and rubber path, good flatness of ODR curve and no nitrosamine or burning risk. CD-2 makes the recipe curing system simple and the process control convenient. Combination of CD-2 and 0.5~1.0 part of sulfur can bring the curing rubber excellent resistance to heat and ageing, extremely low permanent compression deformation and superior comprehensive physical and mechanical natures. The products will have excellent elasticity and no concern of frosting.

2)       Undertint rubber

PEG-4000:             1.5~2 parts          (by weight)

CD-2:                       4~5 parts              (by weight)

Sulfur:                     0.5~1 part            (by weight)

4.        Reference recipe and performance test

Note:   1)   CD-2 can also be used as the curing agent for NBR rubber. The matching quantity of CD-2 is 2-3 parts while that of sulfur is 0.5-1 part.
