1 . General Information
This modular power supply SPD is made up by special non-metal material, pan seal designed with layer by layer discharge technology and installed with standard 35mm rail. It owns characteristics of large impulse discharge current, low restricted voltage, no leakage arc, no leakage current and follow current limitation/selectivity (no tripping of a 32A gL-gG-gD fuse up to 6kA (prosp.), and easy to connect. It is mainly used for lightning protection at first level of the power supply and applicable for different electric networks (TN, TT and IT) with function of protecting the equipments from damage of direct lightning strikes and lightning induction.

3. Operating Principles
The SPD is installed on the power line. It will startup rapidly when the power transmission line is impulsed by lightning, discharging the lightning current to the ground and restricting the lightning overvoltage within the voltage withstanding range allowed by the consumer to ensure the safe running of the electric equipments.
