Germicidal UV lamps efficiently emit a large amount of UV rays 253.7 nm(nanometers) which have excellent germicidal activity. These lamps have structures and electrical characteristics similar to those of general flurorescent lamps used for illumination but use UV rays glass which efficiently transmits UV reays at 253.7 nm. A large selection is available with different sizes, shapes and UV ray output so that the most appropriate one can be selected according to the purpose. The lamps are particularly useful for sterilization air, the surfaces of various materials and water of liquid. The radiation produced is dangerous to eyes and skin.
