I. General description:
This facility is jointly development by Plasma Chemical and New Material Key Laboratory of Wuhan institute of technology and us.
The facilities consists of detachable gas discharge tube, measuring system, vacuum system, gas-inlet system and water cooling system, is reasonable in structure and easy in adjustment and has several measurement parameters.
With this facility the following experiments may be conducted:
Measurement of Townsend first ionization coefficient and ratio /
Observation of DC low gas pressure discharge phenomena and measurement of volt-ampere characteristics
Measurement of gas breakdown voltage and Pashchen law verification experiment
Measurement of plasma electron temperature and concentration
Utility model: ZL 2006 2 0102056.9
II. Characteristics:
In the DC glow plasma teaching-purpose experiment facility, the factors impacting the generation and parameters of the plasma such as working gas, working gas pressure and electrode distance may be independently or in combination adjusted and controlled to systematically understand plasma excitation principle and study the plasma-impacting factors such as working gas pressure and gas type. With it, several verification-orientated experiments as well as comprehensive and development-orientated experiments may be made.
