This design is far from our former one, because this design combines functional and Ergonomics,which we never touched before. So let's show you how this laptop stand come truth.

Starting:

At the beginning of design, we just want to know this product is to prevent cervical spondylosis and makes laptop have better heat releasing.

And the customer needs us to provide the services as below:

1.  Design is on the appearance, function, LOGO as well as package.

2.  Mould making.

3.  Mass production of molded parts.

About the other details should be managed by ourselves. It seems that this is a tough work for us to do. So we have to clear our thread.

Firstly, we measure the size of the laptop on market. We found that it is very hard to design one stand to suit all the size. So the first concept is for 12" and 14" laptop.Second one is for 9" and 7". How much the laptop stand should be raised? Of course, this question should be answered by the experts of Ergonomics. After a profound discussion, we finalize 3 angles to suit on desk, on lap and in bed.It seems that the problem is so easy to solve from our words, but actually we spend quite a while on  trial and checking.

Introduction:

After we finish the discussion of function and Ergonomics design, we extend the range of

application, which the customer doesn't consider.

it everywhere.

2. 3 scientific supporting angles make you ease whenever you operate laptop.

You can adjust angles when you are in bed, on lap, on desk, etc. Then you can choose which one is the most comfortable one.

3. Portable, because the size only 342mm*244mm*12mm, weight: 556g. It can be put into the laptop bag easily.

4. Hollow out design to release heat without extra electrical power, in order to prolong the life of laptop.Also there are some others accessional function:

1. can be used as bookshelf

2. can be used as tablet

3. key board of desk-top computer can be treated as the same.

Up to now, our designers are clear what product it should be.

Process:

After the first design, we make prototypes. Form the prototypes, we found the problem of balance of top plate is a key problem. The height of lip plate should be adjusted. Steady of supporting plate should be reconsidered.

So we update the design. We change the position of supporting plate (moving backward to

prevent distortion of top plate) to solve the problem of plate balance when quite a heavy one is putting on stand. We reduce the height of lip plate to avoid fingers interference when typing.

We add three grooves to fit 3 angles to enable the supporting plate can be inserted into the grooves.Then, the top plate and bottom plate will not be divided when moving the laptop stand.

After this modification, all the discovered problems are solved. Lucky, the customer and Richland get an agreement of the design. So we start to make the mould.

Service:

During the period of time of making mould, we negotiate the logo with our customer.

This is so easy to handle. Then, we begin to design the package. The customer is a distributor, so we should provide finished set product to him. As you can see, the outer package is an important factor to influence the distribution. Both the customer and Richland take seriously. We provide a draft idea for the customer to refer.

After a discreet consideration, the final pattern is coming out.

So we make the carton according to the customers' idea.

Meanwhile, the final product is ready.
