Along with its porosity which is significant for the spreading of water molecule, the silk can preserve, spread and absorb the water molecule in the air. It helps the skin preserve some water and resist dry under average temperature. 

Uviol-resistant: The silk can resist the uviol via the absorbing of uviol by its tryptophan and tyrosine existing in silk-fibroin.
