The Features OF PBT:

This product is made with polyethylene butanediol resin,glass fiber ,high efficiency FR agent and various kinds of auxiliary agents by mixing and extruding by double screw machine .It has higher strength and heat resistance than general PBT.Its flame retardancy is Grade UL 94-VO .

1. Drying

Dry the PBT resin before putting into injection. Incomplete drying or higher contents of water leads to properties worsening, foam and etc.

To achieve products with exceptional properties, water of resin is dried up to 200ppm.

Drying Condition

Drying temperature( centigrades) 120 centigrades 130 centigrades 140 centigrades

Drying Time(hrs) 4 3 2

Operated in the above condition to ensure water content up to 200ppm

In wet regions, you are recommended to take dehumidifier to satisfy your needs.

Case hot-air blower and funnel dryer are generally used as drying methods. Notice the hot-air temperature and air volume adjustment.

As for case hot-air blower, 3cm thickness are limited to place the resin pellets.

When using funnel dryer, keeping under 100-110 centigrades.

Dry keeping less than 8hr(130 centigrades), to avoid screw run in vain, worsened properties and glue shortage.

Mold Temperature

In 60 centigrades, moulding are featured short period, trifling wrap in cloudiness.Under 100 centigrades, products are provided with outstanding toughness, rigidity while long forming period, large wrap and fragile.

2.Usage of Return Materials

Understand standard operation, the proportion of return materials should be less than 20% added with new materials.

Notice for addition of return materials:

a.Regeneration experiment is required before using return materials, so suited regenerative ratio is evaluated(at least 5 cycles).

b. Scrupulous consideration should be taken for recycle of return materials, such as crack problems.

c. Mesh eyelet is optimized 8mm for pulverizer, otherwise super fine pellet or powder will cause difficult feeding or scorch.

d. Return materials exposed in open air is required to dry for more than 1-1.5 hr when compared with new materials.

e. When return materials used, injection pressure will be slightly lower than that of new materials, which is quite common.

f. Regenerative materials are limited 2 cycles reuse.
