Brief Introduction

Decorative Tile is also named as tri-color tile, or hand painted tile. The name originated from Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.) and the art was depicted mainly from three colors, blue, green and red. With the development of modern technology, we are able to utilize tens of colors to make this kind of ceramic artworks. This tile is a kind of artistic ceramic craftworks. The production process of Decorative Tile is quite complicated. Besides its unique recipe, total handcraftsmanship make it somewhat primitive ecology. Hand-drawing, hand-lineation, hand-painting, hand-glazing are all done by hand, except for firing by a kiln. The actual making process is far more complicated than my writings. In a word, it is a labor-cost ceramic handicraft.

The firing temperature is about 1100-1280^oC. Decorative Tile can endure high temperature and has a feature of corrosion resisting and wear-resistant.
