Metal ring joint gasket

Ring joint Gaskets are machined from variety types forged solid metal such as soft iron/ANSI304,ANSI316,ANSI321 metal or other alloy metal.

They are designed for high pressure and temperature or high corrosive applications by selecting the suitable shape and material. Ring joint gaskets assemblie seal by an initial line contact or an edging action as the compressive forces are applied. The hardness of the ring should always be 20-30HB less than the Flanges hardness to prevent flange deformation. Dimensions for standard ring joint gaskets and grooves are covered in ASME B16.20 and API 6A, API 17D and ASME B16.5/B16.20.

BKG1102A R type Oval Ring Joint Gakset

Ring joint gasket with oval cross section was initially developed for high temperature and pressure application and still used in the old type round bottom groove today

BKG1102B R type Octagonal Ring Joint Gakset

Ring joint gasket with Octagonal cross section is prefered by morden grooved flanges and has a higher sealing efficiency than oval types.

BKG1102C RX Ring Joint Gakset 

RX is used at pressures up to 15,000 psi (103 MPa). it is made to API 6A and interchangeable with standard Octagonal rings,  it can take advantage of container fluid pressure well to effect a seal

BKG1102D BX Ring Joint Gakset 

All BX gaskets incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure which may be trapped in the grooves,it is only be used in API 6BX flanges. BX is used at pressures up to 15,000 psi

Standard sizes are stocked in Soft Iron, low carbon, SUS304 and SUS316.
