HUATUO ZAIZAO PILLS is a pure natural preparation from plant origin for treating and preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and apoplexy, hemiplegia and their sequela. In 1985, it is formally listed into the key scientific and technical projects during the sixth Five-Year Plan by the National Commission for Science and Technology. It has been proven, that the product can:

HUATUO ZAIZAO PILLS has the above distinct effects, thus has obvious efficacy in the treatment of ischemic stroke in all phases and hemorrhagic stroke including recovery phase and their sequela, which is different from other current main drugs for the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, such as dehydrant, cerebral vasodilators and anticoagulants. In addition, it has neither the side effects caused by drugs from animal origin, such as recurrence of cerebral hemorrhage, and anaphylaxis, etc. due to their destructive effect on hematocytes, nor the defect of decreased efficacy due to active ingredients, such as enzymes within the drugs of animal origin, prone to decomposition.

Clinical Characters:
1.It is indicated for the treatment of ischemic stroke in all phases, such as cerebral infarction and hemorrhagic stroke in convalescent stage and their sequela, such as cerebral hemorrhage;
2.It is indicated not only for the treatment of diseases in early phase of stroke such as arteriosclerosis to prevent stroke, but also for the treatment of the sequela of stroke. Of which the efficacy on the symptoms of hemiplegia after stroke has reached the international advanced level according to the appraisal of experts.
3.It is also indicated for preventing and treating coronary heart diseases and angina.

Main Compositions:
Chuanxiong rhizome, Evodia fruit, etc.

Action and Indication: Promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, dissipating phlegm and dredging collateral, promoting vital energy and alleviating pain. Indicated for the treatment of symptoms induced by blood stasis or stagnation of phlegm-wetness, such as stroke and paralysis, stiffness and numbness, deviation of the eye and mouth and dysphasia.

Dosage and Administration:
8g (about 45-50 pills) each time, two times daily in the morning and evening. A treating course lasts 30 days. Take it for 3 consecutive courses or till full recovery.

Contraindication and Precaution:
Contra-indicated for women. In case of dryness-heat feeling during the treatment, take it with some white chrysanthemum flower and honey water, or reduce the dose by half, or stop taking it for 1-2days if necessary.
