Easy to use, maintenance free, and much cheaper than a windlass!
Simply place the anchor ring over your anchor line, attach the anchor ball, lower the ball overboard, and run a slow course 30-45 degrees away from the anchor. This will move the ball down the anchor line to the anchor, pulling it free, and floating it to the surface.

Question and Answer:
Q. What size buoy do I need to raise my anchor with the Anchor Ring?
A buoy’s lifting capacity should be higher than the weight of your anchor and the weight of
your chain combined. Using a larger sized buoy is fine and will raise your anchor faster.
Q. What size chain should I use with the Anchor Ring?
Almost any chain will work in part because the Anchor Ring is 5.5” in diameter. For larger
sizes of chain the heavy duty Anchor Ring may be more suitable.
Q. What kind of buoy comes with my anchor puller?
The buoys are made by Polyform. They have a limited lifetime warranty.
Q. Is the Anchor Ring as strong as similar welded rings?
The Anchor Ring is actually stronger, by design, than similar welded rings.
Q. Will the strain during anchor retrieval bend the Anchor Ring?
No, all the strain and drag is put on the buoy and actually helps raise your anchor.
Q. How do I know if I need the Anchor Ring or AnchorLift anchor puller?
The Anchor Ring is suggested to be used when you have an anchor line with at least 6 feet
of chain. The AnchorLift is designed to work with an all rope anchor line.
Q. Can the Anchor Ring be used along with an anchor winch or windlass?
Not recommended. The purpose of the Anchor Ring is to do the job of a winch or windlass
when they are not practical options.
