Characteristics
Blue-green crystal or granule,odorless,corrosive,efflorescent in dried air and oxidated in wet air, density:1.898, melting point: 64,soluble in water(solubility: 48.6g/ml at 50).It will be decomposed into Fe2O3 when heated red. As it could be easily oxidated, we make it dried by a special method so as to overcome the difficulties in transportation and storage.
Applications
In industry, it is used in the fields of water purification, preservation of wood and also as mordant, tannage and disinfectant. It is the raw material for manufacture of ferric salt, ink, iron oxide red and indigo-blue ect. In agriculture, it is for fertilizer, weedicide, pesticide, wheat smut killer
