3, Agricultural/Horticultural Vermiculite     

        Vermiculite is a micaseous matter that formed by the hight temperature heating of silicate materials. In the process of heating, its moisture content went lot and it got expended rapidly, and the volume became 20 times bigger, which made its vent interval increased and the the water keeping ability enhanced.

        In agriculture or horticulture, Vermiculite can be used as soil amendments. Benefiting from the good exchangeability and adsorbability of its cations, vermiculite can be used to improve the soil in agriculture. It can improve the soil structure, keep water and increase the permeability and aquosity of the soil to make the acid soil changed to neutral soil; Vermiculite can play a role of buffering to hindering the rapid changes in PH value, so that the fertilizer could be slowly released during the growth of the crop and certain over use of fertilizers can be accepted without hurting the plants. Vermiculite can also provide the plants with the K,Mg,Ca,Fe and a small quantity of Mn, Cu, Zn that it contains.

Usage:

1. One of the main materials of the planting medium, can be mixed withwith the peat coal, turfy soil and perlite
2. Seeding slipcover
3. Appropriately adjust the PH value of the medium.

4,Vermiculite with Perlite

There is only one disadvantage to using vermiculite alone in a hydroponics system. When used by itself vermiculite retains far too much water and will suffocate plant roots in any growing system. This is why the 50-50 mixture of perlite and vermiculite must be measured out exactly and monitored closely when used as a hydroponic medium.

While Perlite has been used in gardening, mainly as a soil additive, for many years. Perlite is inexpensive and allows excellent aeration in both hydroponic growing and when added to soil gardens. Perlite is most effective in hydroponic growing when used with vermiculite - in a 50-50 proportional mixture. This is because perlite is an effective aerator and vermiculite is an effective water absorber. When used in conjunction with one another, perlite and vermiculite offer the perfect balance of water, nutrients and oxygen for the roots of hydroponic plants.

5,Packing and shipment,

For expanded vermiculite, normally we use 100Liters or 15KG plastic bags, as it’s more economical and convenient for loading and unloading, of course if any special request,we also can pack the goods as your demand.

For shipment, normally we ship by 40’HQ container,which can load around 70-75M3,that’s around 11.5-12MT. If 20’GP container,normally it’s around 28-30M3,tha’s around 4.5-5.5MT.
