This machine guarantees flexible and economic work flows, especially for medium runs. One of the top priorities during the development period of the genius uv 52 was: To support fast and continuous one-man operation. The genius 52 uv is based on the principle of waterless offset printing. The transfer of ink is assisted by water-temperature controlled anilox rollers and plate cylinders without keys. This technology guarantees an absolute even transfer of ink and also a very high and constant printing quality irrespective of production terms. The v-shaped arrangement of the printing units is assembled around the central impression cylinder. Equal diameter of anilox roller, form roller, plate-cylinder and blanket cylinder guarantees a ghosting-free image. There is no need to adjust the inking rollers. The four or five colour offset image will be transferred wet on wet with uv-ink and cured after the last printing station. Further processing(laminating, die-cutting, etc. ) may start immediately without any delay. The touch screen panel to control the machine may be moved from one end to the other of the machine. This leads the genius 52 to a remarkably simple printing press, easy to operate, even for less experienced personnel. Quick change of plates The fully automatic plate-inserting sequence allows a change of plates within approx.5 minutes register-true. The press can run with kpg, presstek, toray waterless ctp plates or toray proven waterless analogue plates.
