Aluminum Roll Jacketing

Sirocs Aluminum Roll Jacketing is manufactured from alloys 3105 or 3003under clients request alloy meeting ASTM B209 with an H-14 temper. The properties of these aluminum alloys provide the required strength to resist in-service abuse, but can be easily fabricated and installed. The attractive mill finish maintains its sharp appearance, a necessity for any insulation project. Aluminum's resistance to atmospheric corrosion makes its use ideal, even in marine, chemical, industrial environments, or in industries processing food or beverages. Aluminum's excellent resistance to corrosion reduces cost through long service without maintenance or painting.

Stainless Steel Roll Jacketing

Sirocs Stainless Steel Roll Jacketing is manufactured from T-304 and T-316 prime grade Stainless Steels. These alloys comply with ASTM A-240, and are supplied with a regular dull finish for reduced glare. The yield strength is 30,000-45,000 PSI and the tensile strength is 75,000-110,000 PSI. These alloys are of a special soft-annealed temper, for ease in fabrication. T-304 is normally used in all except the most corrosive areas, where T-316 is recommended.

FINISHES 

Smooth, stucco embossed, corrugated and corrugated stucco embossed. The stucco embossed finish on corrugated sheets reduces glare from sunlight, adds strength and has more potential for masking application fingerprints, scratches; dents and other minor surface blemishes.

MOISTURE RETARDER

Sirocs Roll Jacketing is supplied with a moisture barrier, which consists of Polysurlyn (3 mil thickness of a co-extrusion polyethylene and DuPont's Surlyn?) and PolyKraft moisture retarders (Kraft and low density polyethylene film). This moisture barrier prevents galvanic corrosion caused by contact of dissimilar metals in the presence of moisture, and chemical corrosion caused by installing over damp insulation materials.
