DESCRIPTION:
Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate(MgCl2.6H2O) is white flakes whose primary active component is magnesium chloride. It is manufactured by solar evaporation of seawater and high temperature heating.

APPLICATIONS:
Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate is intended for a variety of industrial applications. One of the important use is in the preparation of Oxychloride Cement (3MgO MgCl2 11H2 O) which are made up in carefully balanced proportions of Magnesium Chloride and a dry mix consisting of calcined Magnesium Oxide (MgO) or Magnesite with fillers and other aggregates depending upon the requirement. It is used in the manufacturing of Abrasive Bricks for polishing of marble, granite and other stones which are becoming increasingly popular in the building industry today. De-icing & removing the ice from roads after snowfall. Oil & Gas industry/drilling as Moisture Absorbent. Asphalt (road construction material) manufacturing as Moisture Absorbent & binder. It is recommended as a source of magnesium in animal feed formulations. It has found use in waste water treatment processes for removal of silica, fluorides, heavy metals, fats, oils and greases. It can be used to freeze-proof coal and enhance its combustion while reducing toxic emissions. In textile manufacture, it is used as a thread lubricant, a filling in cotton and wool fabrics, and in the carbonization of wool. It can be used as a weighting fluid, refrigerating brine, a solution to maintain constant humidity and a cooling solution for drilling tools. It can be used in fire extinguishing and Fire-proofing wood, and in the production of cements and ceramics.
