Glass balls are dimensionally stable, resist corrosion and chemical absorption and can withstand high temperatures (up to 600 f. ). So the glass balls are used in a variety of functions, such aspumps, valves, spryers, dispensers, atomizers, perfume mist and lotion pumps, etc, in the industries of food, beverage, cosmetic, lotion etc. And in instrumentation suchas flow-meters, aircraft slip and turn indicators.
Orosilicate glass balls are highly resistant to corrosion and most acids. Strong resistance to thermal shock and extended exposure to temperatures of up to 600 degrees f ( 290 degree c ).

Soda-lime glass ball are used in economical check valves that are not subjected to thermal mechanical shock. Highly resistant to high alkaline solutions.
Size: From 0.2mm and above,
Diameter tolerance: Least to +-0.003mm or less
Sphericity/roundness:0.005mm(5 micron).

Except for technical purposes, glass balls (glass beads) are also for decorative purpose or as an advertising gift.
