In life we draw inspiration from countless things. But when it comes to creating something truly special more often than not we look at nature to show us the way. 
We looked at the mighty crocodile for our inspiration for this vest. Here is an animal that has pretty much remained the same since the beginning of time. The natural armour, stealth, speed, agility and tried and tested techniques make it one of the most formidable predators in nature. Another often overlooked quality of the crocodile is the way that it adapts to most conditions and circumstances. For example, although we associate them mainly around water, they can be extremely fast on land and have been known to travel miles in search of food and water. So we wanted to create something that had the same characteristics as this magnificent animal and was designed to last. 
Instead of designing our vest based on an existing product we went back to the drawing board and started from scratch. Questions like, what is a body armour? , why do we need it? , when do we need it? etc. were asked, making us think about the real issues and getting away from costs, weight etc. once these questions were answered we then started to look at the practical aspects of our concept. Finally after much deliberation and even more frustrated attempts we arrived at what you now know as the gator-13. 
Concept
Gator-13 needed to be the following things: 
1. 	ultra reliable and completely dependable
2. 	work efficiently without loss of performance under any environmental condition
3. 	be adaptable to be deployed in any situation
4. 	be an asset to the wearer and not a burden
5. 	be extremely comfortable to wear
6. 	must cause only minimum loss in agility or speed of the wearer
7. 	offer quality above and beyond customers expectations
8. 	offer excellent value for money
We call them the 8 commandments of the sarkar design team. Every aspect of the vest was continually evaluated against these eight conditions and numerous solutions were discarded or modified to make sure that they all fitted our criteria. What we have now in gator-13 is a realisation of that dream and a culmination of our efforts. 
We believe that there is no other ballistic vest in the market place today that is more reliable, versatile, adaptable and better value for money.
