| GENERAL DESCRIPTION VISCOBENT SB -1 is a rheological additive for solvent borne systems. VISCOBENT SB - 1 has been produced from high swelling capacity montmorillonite which is reacted with a quaternary organic compound. During production the raw material,aluminium hydrosilicate is suspended in treated water,carefully cleaned ,reacted with quaternary ammonium salt and then washing, filtering, drying and milling processes are applied. VISCOBENT SB - 1 is specially suitable for low and medium polarity solvent systems. APPLICATIONS VISCOBENT SB -1 can be used in a wide range of low and medium polarity all organic systems. VISCOBENT SB - 1 is especially recommended for interior and exterior house paints,printing inks, primers, traffic paints, anti-corrosive paints, wood preservative stains, decorative and industrial paints,lubricants and cosmetics. It is generally recommended to determine the suitable level of concentration by experimental studies. Most general dosing ratio is 0,2 - 0,8 %. VISCOBENT SB - 1 ensures excellent anti-settling and thixotropic properties. STORAGE No detorioration of the product has been observed in a 12 months time interval. Recommended storage condition is in dry and sheltered place in closed bags. TOXICITY DATA No toxicity of VISCOBENT SB -1 has been reported yet.Minimal irritation for eyes is observed and irritation for skin is negligible.
