Low temperature curing powder coatings
1. General introduction
This type of coating is prepared from special compositions with unique production technics, and it is suitable for the coating of moderate density fibreboard (mdf) substrate. The coating films prepared from this type of coating have excellent mechanical property and indoor/outdoor decorativeness, so the powder coating can be widely used in the surface coating for modern furniture. It is suggested not to use it directly for the coating of outdoor appliances.
2. Product series
Products which can endure 230 centigrade*6h,250 centigrade*3h and 300 centigrade*2h are available. Customers can choose the very type according to their demand.
3. Physical properties of the powder
Density (g/cm3,25 centigrade):1.2-1.8
Granularity distribution:100% below 100 micrometre (it can be adapted to the customers' demand)
4. Execution condition
Electrostatic spraying can be employed for the coating and the film thickness of 70-90 micrometre is appropriate. (mdf substrate should be homogeneously heated in infrared oven, and the heating temperature depends on the substrate's heat capacity. )
5. Curing condition
120 centigrade (surface temperature of the mdf substrate),20 minutes. Ordinary hot-air cycling oven or drying
Tunnel can be used for the curing. The coating layer just sprayed had better be put in the infrared oven for the
Accelerated leveling if condition permitted, and then sent to ordinary ovens.
6. Average coating area
8-9m2/KG, film thickness:70 micrometre (calculated according to 100% consuming of powder coating)
