King Kong San Roque, from Lambayeque Peru, is a traditional super-size alfajor (triple-layer filled with pineaple, caramelized milk and peanuts) , which originated back in 1920, but when the movie king kong debuted in Lima, it changed its name to king kong to resemble its size. Three layers of cookies made of yucca, pumpking and more secret ingredients, filled with coatings of pineapple, mix of peanuts & panela, and caramelized milk, gives the king kong the perfect combination of a sweet to remember.
