And it is generally used in cosmetics, surfactants, pharmaceutical industry and other related industrial fields. PVP K series are the key component of hair sprays, mousse, gels and lotions& solution. PVP-Iodine is a complex of PVP with iodine which can extinguish bacterial, virus, fungus effectively. It is a stable complex with no irritation, which can dissolve in water completely. The advantage of PVP-Iodine aqueous solution used as microbicide is that most of iodine exists as complex so that iodine is not easy to volatilize. On the other hand, because of the combination of PVP and the weakness of iodine, iodine will be released slowly to sterilize when contacting with skin ans mucous membrane.

It is new microbicide with low toxicity and high effect. It can extinguish bacteria, virus, fungus, mildew and spore and is the first-selected iodine-containing microbicide. And it is also used as microbicide for kitchen utensils in family and in antidandruff shampoo. It has physiologic inert and it is not stimulative and susceptible to skin as mucous membrane.
