C3 Liquid-phase Selective Hydrogenation Catalyst (BC-L-83)

It is a new process of liquid-phase hydrogenation of C3 fractions and the catalyst BC-L-83. In the new process, propyne and propadiene in C3 fractions an be effectively removed to meet the requirements of ethylene units, with slight increase in propylene yield.

Performance:

1)      High activity, selectivity and stability, while less polymers formed

2)      Longer regeneration cycle, 10months above under normal operational conditions. Catalyst life time longer than 5 years

3)      Advanced single-stage liquid-phase hydrogenation process, featuring less equipment, lower investment and more operation convenience, as compared with the conventional two-stage process widely used abroad

4)      High liquid space velocity, hence low consumption of catalyst

5)      Low consumption of energy. As the inlet temperature of the reactor ranges from 25 to 45, no propylene refrigeration is necessary.

6)      Applicable to ethylene units for the production of CP or polymerization grade propylene

BC-L-83 catalyst is packaged in iron drums lining with double-layer woven sacks. Each drum contains 180kg catalyst. The catalyst should be stored in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated place. Rolling, bumping, placing upside down, water and moisture should be avoided in either storage or transportation. The catalyst is non-toxic, odorless, and nonflammable.
