Dyed cowhides

Product Details:

Pattern Raw

Detailed Product Description

The natural cowhides are classified as finished products and are not manufactured from endangered animals. The hairy hides are natural products which makes each item unique and one of a kind. All of the hides are imported from South America. Their suggested use is for decorative purposes, such as rugs, tapestries, etc. The products can also be used as raw material for upholstery purposes. The length of the hair of the hides varies depending on the season of slaughter: the colder the weather, the longer the hair. Available in different sizes.

Typical Characteristics

  • Cattle brands: they are part of the hides.

  • Neck wrinkles: The skin around the neck area is wide and flabby. As the neck stretches and shortens, it leaves wrinkles.

  • Scratches and scars: Cattle face a variety of natural elements in its search for food. These characteristics are the evidence of their exposed life without protection caused by trees, thorn bushes and barbed wire. These scars are normal and natural and they dont affect the quality or the lifespan of the product. They actually guarantee the authenticity and quality of the product. The less scars the hides show, the higher its value. The hides that we market are classified as Premium Quality as they show little or no scratches and scars.

  • Patches: It should be noted that hides may get damaged during the tanning process. Should holes and tears occur, they are repaired to its original condition with patches of the same material.

  • Stretching scars: they are due to the process of giving birth that causes the stretching of the skin.
