Ferrochrome lignosulphonate (FCLS) is a specially prepared thinner and fluid loss control agent used in drilling fluids. It has the characteristics of anti-high temperature and anti-electrolytes.

2) Material insolution to water: 2.5% max.
3) Moisture: 8.5% max.
4) Calcium sulfate: 3.0% max.
5) Total Fe: 2.5 - 3.8%
6) Total Cr: 3.0 - 3.8%
7) Cr complex: 75% min.
Features:
1) With excellent thinning performance and filtration control capacity and
powerful anti-electrolytes capacity, it is suitable to all kinds of mud
2) Be effective at temperature more than 150 – 160°C, it can also be
used at the temperature above 200°C, when cooperated with lignite
derivatives and other temperature-resisting chemicals
3) FCLS is a good emulsifier for oil in water mud
Applications:
FCLS may be added into drilling fluids either in the form of solution or powder, keep pH value between 9.5 - 10.5; as a thinner at 0.5 - 1.0% and as a fluid loss control agent at 2.0 - 5.0%.
