Your Sign-in Seal is a unique message or image that you select to help protect your account from phishing websites. Phishing (fraudulent) websites copy legitimate websites. These websites are designed to steal your password or personal information.

After creating a Sign-in Seal for your computer, you can be sure you're on the legitimate Alibaba.com site each time you sign in to Alibaba.com using your computer. Simply check whether the customised text or image is displayed on the Alibaba.com webpage. If it's not there, you may have signed in to a fake Alibaba.com site.

Your Sign-in Seal is only saved on the computer you created it on. If you use more than one computer or browser, you need to create a Sign-in Seal for each computer.

Important: Never create a Sign-in Seal on a public computer.

Your Sign-in Seal is unique to the computer you set it up on. When you sign in to your Alibaba.com account from this computer, your Sign-in Seal tells you that you're on a genuine Alibaba.com, not a fake site.

1. On the Sign-in page, click "Prevent Password Theft" at the top of the Sign-in box.

2. Click "Create a Text Seal" or "Upload an Image."

3. Enter your text or select an image from your computer.

1).If you want to use text as your Sign-in Seal:

• Enter up to three lines of text in the spaces provided
• Enter up to 7 Characters per line
• Enter a unique message that is difficult to guess

Important: Never include your Alibaba ID or password in the message

2).If you want to use an image as your Sign-in Seal:

• Click the "Browse" button and choose an image from your computer
• The image you upload should be in JPEG (JPG) format
• The image should be under 1Mb in size

4. You can also select a background colour for your Sign-in Seal. To see more colours, click "See more colours." The colour will help you identify your seal whenever you sign in on this computer.

5. Click the "Preview" button to see how your Sign-in Seal will look when it's displayed. When you are satisfied with your Sign-in Seal, click "Save."

Click the "Remove" button if you want to delete your Sign-in Seal.

To change a Sign-in Seal:

• Go to the Alibaba.com Sign in page
• Click on the Sign-in Seal
• Click "Change your Sign-in Seal now"

Your Sign-in Seal is helping you avoid phishing (fraudulent) websites. Without your Sign-in Seal, you will not be alerted when you enter a phishing website.

To delete a Sign-in Seal:

1. Go to the Alibaba.com Sign-in page and click on your Sign-in Seal

2. Click "Change your Sign-in Seal now"

3. Click the "Remove" button in the Preview area

4. Click the "Save" button

Note: Deleting the Sign-in Seal from this computer does not delete any other Sign-in Seals you may have created on other computers.

You could be on a fake Alibaba.com site, but there might be other reasons why you can't see it:

• Someone else using your computer may have deleted or changed your seal
• Your cookies or files on your computer may have been deleted

Your Sign-in Seal is only displayed on the computer you used to create it. If you use different computers to visit Alibaba.com, it is recommended that you create a Sign-in Seal for every computer you use frequently.

Important: never create a Sign-in Seal on a public computer-e.g. in libraries, Internet cafes, and other public places.

You can use just about any image as your Sign-in Seal. However, please pay attention to the following information:

1. The image must be in JPEG (JPG) format. Files in this format usually have the file extension .jpg. If the image you want to display is in a different format, use an image conversion program (such as Microsoft Paint) to convert it into JPEG (JPG) format.

2. Choose a special image that is unique and is easy for you to identify when it's displayed in a small size.

3. The file must be smaller than 1Mb.
