Film Type & Application: Distinguish between general-purpose, heat-sealable, matte, metallized, and label BOPP films. Each serves distinct applications (e.g., food packaging, lamination, tape). Confirm the film's suitability for your specific machine (e.g., FFS, overwrap) and end-product requirements (e.g., food contact, UV resistance, anti-fog).
Thickness & Width: Precisely specify micron thickness and roll width. Inconsistencies impact machine performance and product fit. Request tolerance ranges.
Treatment: Verify if the film is one-side or two-side corona treated. This impacts printability and lamination adhesion. Confirm treatment level (Dynes/cm) if critical.
Roll Core & Diameter: Specify core material (paper, plastic) and internal diameter (e.g., 3-inch, 6-inch). Confirm maximum roll outer diameter to ensure compatibility with your unwinder.
Mechanical Properties: Request data sheets detailing tensile strength, elongation, haze, gloss, and coefficient of friction (COF). These metrics are crucial for machine runnability and package integrity. Pay particular attention to COF for high-speed packaging lines.
