          Stainless Steel Tanks For Nanobrewery

1.How beer is brewed? What is the simple process?

Barley malt crushing in Grain miller.

Malt mashing: in brewhouse for about 2hours to get wort
Flattering: separate the spent malt and wort. Transfer the clear wort into Kettle

tun for wort boiling about 1 hour.During boiling process, put hop into boiled wort.

Whirlpool: Father boiling, there are a little hot break in wort.

The whirlpoolprocess can remove them. Transfer the wort into fermentation tank

for beer fermentation.

Larger beer need two weeks fermentation cycle and Ale beer is 7-10 days.

The fermented temperature is adjusted by Glycol chilling unit(glycol water tank

and chillers)

3.Configurations For The Stainless Steel Tanks For Nanobrewery

3.1 Grain Milling

Milling is done to better allow the mashing liquor to access the centre of the barley.

It is important that the grain husk remain intact, as the husks are used to form a filter bed

during lautering. At the end of milling, the brewer should be left with a range of fragments of

barley, but no whole grains, and largely intact husks. There should be little flour, as this leads

to haze in the final beer and is poorly retained by the husk bed in the lautering process.

It is also important that most of the endosperm is broken up, leading to better conversion of

the starch to sugars. We supply large diameter smooth rollers running at different speeds in

our brewery system. Smaller grain mills can be made with slotted or knurled rollers and the mill

gap must be set wider to avoid crushing the husks.

3.2 Brewhouse

Brewhouse is various in combination of vessels, of course to achieve the same four steps

mashing, lautering, boiling, whirlpool, by special brewing intentions of brewer including wort

output, wort gravity, sparging water, brews in certain time, brewing method etc.

TBE Company accepts special design for these variations.

Three Vessel Brewhouses:

Four Vessel Brewhouses:

Mash(kettle) Tun + Lauter Tun + Boil Kettle + Whirlpool

Five Vessel Brewhouses:

Mash Tun + Lauter Tun + Boil Kettle + Whirlpool+ Holding Kettle

3.3 Fermentation Tank

Fermenters are also called CCT’s (Cylindrical Conical Tanks), FV’s (Fermentation Vessel), primary

fermentor or unitanks as they are used both for fermenting and lagering.Fermenting is the

process during which the yeast transforms the wort into beer. Lagerings takes place after

fermenting and is the time given to the beer to stabilize and age after fermenting.

3.4 Bright Beer Tank

Bright beer tanks are often also called serving tanks, tax determination tanks or clear beer tanks

(=CBTs), bright beer tanks (=BBTs) or maturation or conditioning tanks.

These tanks are used for the storage of the beer prior to being served or packaged.

Depending on their application the beer serving tanks can be glycol jacketed or can be located in

a cold room. For brewpubs serving is often done by pumping or pressurizing the beer toward the

serving location.

3.5 Beer Filtration

Although the residual yeast and  protein coagulum will deposit at the tank’s bottom after

fermentation and maturation, a little of them still suspend in the liquor, and can precipitate out

from the beer during later storage that result in cloudy of beer. So the filtration process show

it’s importance to remove the suspensions. Beer became clear, bright and attractive in appearance

after filtration, and was also given a good colloidal& biologic stability in the same time.

At least, the appearance won’t change in the “the minimum warranty period”, ensuring the perfect

appearance-quality.

3.6 Glycol Chilling System

Every brewery is equipped with one or multiple cooling systems. These are used for controlling the

heat generated during the fermentation process, cooling water in the cold liquor tank, keeping

beer cold in "python lines", cooling distribution tanks, as a wort chiller or wort cooler etc.

TBE can offer you both cooling systems for cold rooms and glycol cooling systems in various sizes

to meet the requirements of your brewery. The glycol cooling system includes stainless steel

insulated ice water tank, chiller with fryon as refrigerant and glycol water recycle pipings.

The ice water tank is used to contain the liquid mixed with city water and glycol which freezing

point will be as low as 5 to 7 degree below zero. One unit of vertical copper coil submerged in

center of the tank to allow freezed fryon from chiller recycle inside, thus the glycol water is cooled.

Air cooled and water cooled chillers are available to fit various ambient temperature.

TBE company supply mainly brewing grade PVC glycol piping while stainless steel pipings

aredesigned as special request. Brewery glycol cooling systems are various in size on base of the

volume of batch wort, volume and quantity of fermentation tank and bright tanks etc.

3.7 Electrical Controlling

Electrical panels are needed for supplying the various brewery elements with power and brewery

control panels to operate the brewery and control the various processes. Most of the time a

number of panels are foreseen throughout the brewery for ease of operation and to control the

brewing process.

TBE designs and manufactures brewery controlling system in various types. The traditional control

panel is the common used. Brewer finishes the pump, motor on/off by button, read temperature

directly from digital indicator. All parts are standard which allow easy maintenance and

replacement. However, all valves are manual controlled. The more modern control panel is

integrated and programmed in PLC and touch screen display. Of course, this is also treated as

semiautomatic control because the valves are still manual type. The most fashional controlling is

PLC or computer control with electronic or pneumatic valves. The whole process can be done by

one start instruction along with the pre-setupprogram.

All electrical and control panels are fully tested and can be executed in compliance with your local
