 How to identify the good or bad quality of bbq wood charcoal ?

1. Color: bright black, if the color turn to gray, that means the moisture out of the limits, observe the color from the cross section of charcoal. if the color turn to yellow, that means carbonization time not enough.

2. Hardness: not to easy to be break when you knock it whenever before you ignite or on the burning.

3.Sound: The crush of two piece of charcoal should have metallic sound of ringing, if the sound is not clear indicate moisture out of limits.

4.Crack: A few cracks and this will not affect the quality. but large crack means bad density of semi products or too much oxygen supplied during carbonization process makes crack that can’t shrink enough.
