The brightness and darkness sensitivity is adjustable, and it can enter the midnight mode. When the middle of the night is rare, pedestrians will turn off half of the street lights to achieve energy-saving effect. The time for this half-way lamp to be turned off can also be adjusted. To put it simply, the sky is dark, the lights are all bright, the people are few in the middle of the night, the lights are half bright, and after dawn, the lights are completely extinguished. The circuit design adopts the time-base timer NE555 and the NAND gate CD4011 which are widely used in digital circuits, and combines the photosensitive elements to control the brightness of the street lamp. It is a good product worth learning and circuit analysis.

Circuit principle

This circuit uses DC 12V power supply, the main control circuit is composed of photoresistor, CD4011, 555 timer. During the day, the resistance of RG is small, the first leg of CD4011 is low level, the 11th leg is also low level, the relays K1 and K2 are not working, and the street lights are not bright. With the arrival of the evening, the resistance of RG becomes larger, CD4011 is the first leg. Change to high level, 11 feet are also high level, Q1 is turned on, K1 is powered, Q2 is turned on, Q2 is turned on, 555 timing circuit works, K2 pulls in, then the street light is on, with C2 charging, to the middle of the night, C2 When the charging voltage is greater than two-thirds of VCC, the third leg of 555 becomes low level, K2 is powered off, and only half of the street lamps are powered and illuminated, and return to the initial state during the day until the next day, all dark.
