How Long Should You Use a Baby Playpen?

However, when the child's chest is at the same height as the top rail, it is not safe to continue using it for the child. Once a child learns how to climb out of the playpen, or has attained a height of 34 inches, stop using the playpen.

Consider the durability and build quality of the playpen. Wooden playpens and those made of hard plastic last longer than those made of mesh. Choose a portable playpen with dimensions that suit your baby's age, and make sure it is easy to clean so you can keep it germ-free.
