Polyvinyl chloride, also known as PVC, is one of the most produced plastics in the world. They are lightweight but long-lasting and durable to use.
Two types of PVC film
PVC film can be divided into two catalogs: rigid PVC film and flexible PVC film. Rigid PVC film is a thermoplastic polymer that has greater coloring power and color stability. They can also keep things from sunlight, chemicals, and oxidation. Therefore, they are widely applied in the construction industry, food and non-food packaging, and bank card production. Flexible PVC film adds plasticizers like phthalates to make it more flexible. They are widely used in common life. Things like pipes, cable insulation, roofing, and inflatable items are made of flexible film PVC rolls.
The application of PVC film
PVC film can be used to produce products to decorate kitchens, wardrobes, and other furniture. For example, PVC laminating coverings for kitchen cabinets are versatile and durable. It adds a feeling of stylish to the interior designs. Most metalized PVC sheets are made of virgin PVC material. The thicknesses, colors, and features can be customized, which is ideal for being used as candy and chocolate trays. As PVC films are cheap yet biological and chemical resistant, they can be used to make different types of adhesive tapes. PVC shrink wraps will shrink tightly over what they are covering. They can be used to wrap food, books, toys, soaps, and more. They are great for keeping items secure and protecting them from wet and cold weather. PVC heat shrink wrap comes in PVC shrink films and rolls. PVC cling films have excellent cling. They are easily heat sealed and limit excessive moisture build-up so that they allow oxygenation to maintain the color and aroma of meats and vegetables, ideal for fresh food packaging. PVC film sheets are also great for wiring as they are excellent insulators. PVC film rolls are resistant to shock, corrosion, and weather aging and are great for outdoor use.
