About products and suppliers:

Diamond clarity grades include inclusions and imperfections that interfere with the free passage of light through the stone. There are several grades ranging from "Flawless" (F) to "Included" (I). SI is an abbreviation for "Slightly Included." When examined under 10x magnification, SI diamonds have visible inclusions, but this does not make them a poor grade. SI is in the middle of the clarity scale. SI is divided into two grades; SI1 indicates a higher clarity grade than SI2 diamond.

Are SI Diamonds Genuine?

Yes. Although an SI1 diamond is not flawless, it is beautiful and valuable. Most of the time, no one will get close enough to see or identify inclusions. Like most other high-quality diamonds, the SI diamond chain will appreciate over time. Because SI diamonds are less than VS2 (or very slightly included 2), they can provide good value to the price-conscious buyer. SI diamonds are frequently the best buy, especially SI1 clarity diamonds because the inclusions aren't visible and allow consumers to optimize the other C's like carat or color.

Purchasing Guidelines for SI Diamonds

Examine the stone for flaws and whether it is eye-clean using high-tech online imagery. Since these SI stones have imperfections, it depends on the location and size of the imperfections if you notice them. Choosing one with faint imperfections and having centered inclusions rather than spread-out inclusions is preferable. If a vendor does not have enough photos, go to another site that does. Examine the SI stone clarity plot. The lab report should include a clarity report for diamonds. You can see where the inclusions are and what type they are.

SI Diamond Price and Availability

Several factors influence SI diamond price, including carat weight, shape, cut quality, and color grade. 1-carat round diamonds with SI1 clarity and G-I color can range in price from $4,000 to $5,500. In the same shape and color range, a 0.50-carat SI1 clarity diamond will cost between $900 and $2000. The 2-carat SI1 diamond price range is between $12,000 and $25,000. Any non-round SI diamonds for sale will cost you less.
